Joy Lutheran Church - Ministries

It is the gifts that God gives each of us and the faithful sharing of our gifts that enables JOY to live out our calling to be A Home for your Heart. In this area you will find information about an array of opportunities available to encourage spiritual growth, enable Christian fellowship, and inspire faithful service – whether you’re just beginning your walk with Jesus or have been on the journey for most of your life.

Key Thought: As you give so it will be given to you

The Laws of Stewardship are rooted in the immovable ground of God's promises. They are sure and certain, truths that we can count on. They are the absolutely positive teaching of Jesus, such as the Law of Guaranteed Return that He stated like this:

"Give, and it will be given to you," He said, "a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38)

The purpose behind this promise is that we be motivated to give because it's a sensible investment. Spiritually speaking, there's virtually no risk but all reward. Any gift given for God's glory is backed by the infinite resources of the Bank of Heaven. There is no doubt about it, no cause for concern, no conditions under which the return is held back or held up. It will come.

Give Freely & Cheerfully

Don’t give under compulsion. Giving freely & cheerfully is an invitation to see things in a new way. If you’re not ready for this change in perspective, tuck it away; read the Bible & pray about it.
